Applying for Units

Once you have downloaded and read the Balmain Discrete Mortgage Income Trusts Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), applying for units is a simple 2 step process.

1. Complete the online application form

Please read the information below carefully. The information you need to provide to complete the application form is different for each account type as outlined below.

Trust or Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF)


Information Required

  • Name and Type of trust (e.g. SMSF, Family Trust)
  • Date of Trust Deed
  • ABN (if applicable)
  • Tax File Number
  • Individual Trustees: Name, date of birth and residential address for each individual
  • Corporate Trustees: Company details (See requirements for Company)
  • Bank Account Details (for distribution payments)

Certified Documents Required

A certified copy of the Trust Deed is required for all trusts.

Alternatively, call us with the details of your SMSF administrator and we will source the necessary documents on your behalf.

Individual / Joint Account


Information Required

  • Mobile number and email address
  • An Australian residential address
  • Drivers licence number (if applicable)
  • Tax File Number
  • Bank Account Details (for distribution payments)

Certified Documents Required

None*

Company or Sole-Trader


Information Required

  • Business/Company number (ABN, ACN)
  • Date of Incorporation/Registration
  • Registered office address & principal business address
  • Tax File Number
  • Name, date of birth and residential address for all directors
  • Bank Account Details (for distribution payments)

When you begin the application form, you will receive an email containing a 'continue link', enabling you to save and continue your progress at any point. The email also contains a unique 'completion pin' which you will need in order to submit your completed application form.


2. Transfer your initial investment amount

The minimum initial investment into the Trust is $50,000 which is invested into Cash Units.

Once your application is complete, you will be sent payment instructions, together with a specific payment reference to identify your payment. You can transfer your application monies via BPAY, EFT or pay by Cheque.

You will also receive your password and login details to your online Investor Control Console.

Note payment is made to the Trust Custodian - Perpetual Corporate Trust Limited.
